Sjierk Jouwsma was my 3 times great grandfather. He was born November 12, 1813 in Tzum, Franekeradeel (now Waadhoeke), Fryslân , Netherlands (I am seeing records of a possible birth on October 31, 1813 in Tjerkwerd, Dedgum, Wonseradeel, Zuidwest-Friesland. I need to do some more work on this one as I am currently only going on other people’s family tress on Ancestry.)
On May 22, 1847 Sjierk married Baukjen Jans Kooistra in the municipality of Franekeradeel (now Waadhoeke).
Sjierk’s death is noted to have been on August 2, 1875.
